On April 13, the Swedish Government presented its amending Spring Budget for Fiscal 2026. In the SEK 7.7 billion Spring budget, the government proposes, among other things, lowered taxes on fuel, electricity and gas subsidies. This comes as a clear response to the war in the Middle East and the government goal to mitigate risks from subsequent volatility in energy markets.
